Bassitt Translates to Success for Jays

Episode Summary

Chris Bassitt, sans Pitch Com,  put together a solid outing to lead the Jays to a 2-1 victory and  series win over the visiting San Francisco Giants. He tossed six complete innings of shutout baseball, allowing just three hits and fanning a career high 12 Giants before being pulled. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would pick him up in the bottom of the inning, launching another ‘home’ run at the Rogers Centre, of the two-run variety to break the tie, and put the Jays ahead for good. Jordan Romano had a shaky ninth, giving up a RBI single to bring the visitors within a run, but eventually closed the door for save number 24. Ben Wagner and Blake Murphy have the audio highlights courtesy of the Sportsnet Radio Network.
